Things To Look Forward To

My brain has been going crazy and thinking overtime of all of the benefits and things that I have to look forward to once I start losing a significant amount of weight.
I hope to be down to my 5% goal by the end of the year. That would mean a lot to me.
Things that I hope will go away: asthma, knee pain, back pain.
Things I hope I can accomplish easier: a 5k, a triathlon, a half marathon, biking, rollerblading and I’m sure the list will grow.
Weight Loss!

My official weigh-in day is Thursday, but since as we all know, this Thursday was Thanksgiving, I decided to go on Wednesday instead. In 6 days I was down 1.4 pounds! Woohoo!
Even though yesterday was Thanksgiving and Jeff and I went to a buffet (which we didn’t know it was until we sat down!), I still think I did good. And as weird as it is now, Thursday is my FAVORITE day of the week!! Come on Thursday!
Only 86.6 pounds to go to get to my Weight Watchers “goal” weight.
The First Weigh In

Today was the day. Weight Watchers weigh in. The first one.
It really didn’t go as bad as I figured it would. I got all my papers and packets and let’s just say I have quite a bit of stuff to read!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am so very thankfully that I have understanding parents that want me to lose this weight. In six years I have gained…let’s see here…almost a hundred pounds. Holy crap, last time I added it up, it was 60 pounds. Ugh. Not a good feeling. Back to my parents and one of the many reasons that I am thankful for them. They are paying for me to go to Weight Watchers and will continue to do so until I start not doing so well. Which, with THIS money riding on it, I will NOT screw-up.
So, if you see me out and I am eating something that looks really bad, tell me no. And make sure that I tracked it! I can’t NOT track it, I have it all on my phone (thank you iPhone!!!) Seriously. This is my time. I will do it. I will become a tracking queen. I have the support of my parents, boyfriend (whom doesn’t eat veggies) and my friends. And one of my close friends will be going to the meetings with me! So yea!
The Help of a Friend

After talking to my close friend for a few months about it, I have decided to join Weight Watchers with her this Thursday, 11/19. I am nervous and excited, but WAY more excited, just because I’ll have to report my weight in every week.
With this in my head from Sunday, 11/15, on and knowing that I will be going to weigh in, I have been kinda careful about food and have lost about 2 pounds prior to going to a meeting. So let’s hope this is a good sign! And thankfully I will have a good friend to report back to if I have any problems or questions.
Let’s get this thing started!
Crazy Week Couple of Weeks
I haven’t updated in quite a while. So here it is, picture style.
I started a new job at IZEA, where I work three days a week. The people are lovely and e-mailing people is right up my alley. Here’s my desk (yes I know, it needs work!)

I got a new car! 2003 Toyota Corolla. It only had 24,000 miles when it was purchased. It has a few more miles now.

And then about a week after that it got towed. And then a week later I got rear-ended. Time to take it back??
A group of us ventured out to Willow Tree in Sanford again. Had a great time and wonderful food, but it was kinda sad because we didn’t all get to sit together. But the boys got a 3 liter boot of beer and did their happy little march around the restaurant. And politely chugged the beer. Oh and some random lady decided to get in on the phone, kinda strange, yet fun.

I got a chance to help out Adam Wiggall take some wedding photos for Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point and her husband. While we waited, Adam tried out some techniques and Jeff was the stand-in bride.

Over the past few months I have been trying to eat healthy lunches and dinners. It doesn’t help that Jeff lives off of steak and/or any type of meat. No veggies for him. So, I got some frozen Healthy Choice steamers (and soups), which are quite tasty (or the two that I have tried) and very easy to “make”. Along with those, I have enjoyed the 100 Calorie Starbucks Frappucinos! They make my day, though they have to be a treat since they can be a BIT on the pricey side.

I got the chance to see Boyz II Men again! They are just wonderful!!!! Oh yea, and we enjoyed some food and wine beer at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The food was the same, but the Strongbow tasted wonderful! The guys enjoyed sitting in Germany while Ashley and I enjoyed B-B-B-Boyz II Men!

I had a root canal, which was finished over the past two weeks. Yippee right? Not so much. Pain is still kinda there from all the digging and drilling and whatever the hell other tools he used. I know I looked completely crazy, which is why I took a picture to share with you.

Here I am fully smiling, yet the Novocaine hadn’t worn off yet!

Work has been crazy, yet I am still looking for more, editing audio/video. Have a camera to buy! $2,000 where are you? Can’t someone just drop me some money in the mail??
Oh and Jeff has been busy keeping me entertained.
He has been playing with the cat:

Wearing wigs:

Cleaning vents (which is was supposed to do before his birthday in July):

Oh and I just got a new camera! Can’t wait to do a post with some of the new pictures!! Canon 7D, you are amazing and I love you
Another Tuesday Afternoon

Decided to take advantage of this cooler Florida weather (cooler = less than 80!!!!) and go for a walk. I went from my office in downtown Orlando down to city hall. It’s almost a mile there and back and it took me longer than normal since there is traffic and cross walks, but it was a nice 20 minute break outside.
I came back to the office to enjoy some Healthy Choice 150 calorie soup – Chicken with Rice. It was actually quite good. Through out the morning I enjoyed some POM tea (Pomegranate Lychee Green Tea). It has an interesting taste, but I enjoyed it. 140 calories for 16 ounces and it’s a nice change from water (which is all I seem to drink anymore).
Well, there is a piece of cake waiting for me. Must go take care of that….sorry, I have to! It was someone’s birthday!!
Start to a new week

I am beyond sick of being overweight/fat/chubby/whatever you want to call it. So, I made a list tonight of everything that I want to do this next week (have to start somewhere right??)
Here’s the list. And I need YOU to help me sick to it!
No fast food for a week (I am trying to make fast food a non-existant habit)
Eat breakfast before work
Drink water or juice on the ride to work each morning
No alcohol for a week (not that I drink much, but the less ’social’ drinking the better)
No eating after 10pm
Gazelle 3 times a week, for 30 minutes at a time
Read a solid 30 minutes a day; on the gazelle, before bed. Whatever. Just read!
These may not all have to do with losing weight, but I need to learn to decompress, which in turn will hopefully remove some stress in my back. Oh and maybe the headaches will go away!
I’ve been working 5 days a week (which is something I’m not 100% use to) and also trying to get more work. I am always looking for video/audio editing work. Jeff just got an email about HOPEFULLY doing quite a bit of work, which means, money. Which in turn means paying off some bills. Then I can get a camera and stop borrowing my friend’s cameras. I need my camera back!! So, if you have any work you need done..I’m available!
