Stuff the Magic Dragon
No seriously.. sing the title. It’s fun.
During the Orlando Magic vs. Detroit Pistons game on February 17, I spotted Stuff sitting near/on some girl and then walk away with her purse. Stuff… were you flirting/trying to get a girlfriend??
After Orlando WON the game, Stuff was then found strutting across the court. That is one busy dragon.
We were lucky enough to be given some tickets for the game (thanks Justin!!) and we found out friends of ours were going as well. We all went together and then split ways to find our seats. Us up top, them about 15 rows from the court.
He is 6′8 (yep, I ask him all the time) and could not get comfortable in his seat at all. There was no leg room what so ever. So they moved them up a bit to where there was WAY more leg room and we got to sit in their kick ass seats. Seriously, awesome.
We’ve only had seats down there once before and THAT is the way to watch a game. You may get yelled at for taking pictures with an SLR, but it is so worth it. Just being able to soak in the game and seeing the players up close fist bump (terrorist fist bump style). So now.. some pictures from our closer seats.
Relay For Life 2010
On May 21, 2010 I will be taking part of Relay For Life in Orlando, FL. This is the first year that I have done this and I want to raise some money to kick cancer’s butt!!
It’s official!! I am walking in honor of Becci Godwin. A former co-worker, but ALWAYS a friend! She has survived breast cancer and has had an amazing attitude through the ENTIRE thing! I couldn’t even tell you how many doctor’s visits and surgeries she’s had, but she always kept a positive outlook about it. She is a fabulous quilter and made me a very special quilt a few years ago. No matter what is going on in her life, she always makes time to do things for others. Becci is a very strong woman and has a very supportive family. Seeing as though there isn’t much that I can do for her.. Becci, this is for you!!
I need your help and in return you’ll get a really cool gift! <I think it’s cool at least>
How about a print from peglegpug.com or peakarts.com
For a donation up to $9, you’ll get a 5×7 print
For donating $10 to $24, 8×10
For donating $25 and up, you’ll get a print that’s 13×19
Anything above $75, will get 13×19 from both peglegpug.com AND peakarts.com
For every $5 that you donate your name will go into a hat and the name that’s drawn will get a very special surprise gift!
So please, donate away. ANYTHING would be wonderful!! We need this! We need to get cancer under control!
If everyone that followed me on twitter donated 50 cents, I’d be well over $500, however I know that is not going to happen, but YOU can help me to closer to my goal.. 50 cents at a time!
If you do not want to donate online, please let me know so we can set something else up. There are pages that I can get to you so that you can fill it out for Relay For Life.
For you have ANY questions, please e-mail me at kelly @ peglegpug . com

Ben Prestage
I may not have done anything too exciting to ring in the 2010, but I did start the first day of 2010 off right.
A friend of mine had just told me about Ben Prestage and sent me a couple of YouTube clips to which I really took a liking to his sound. Thankfully, I found out that he was going to be doing a set at Will’s Pub in Orlando, FL on January 1st and I made sure that I was going to be there.
The place was packed! I hadn’t been to Will’s Pub in a while and I don’t know what that max capacity for the stage room was, but people were having a hard time walking through to get to the bar. That’s when you know you’re at a good show! I put together some clips that Jeff shot with my new camera (Canon 7D).

Decided to take advantage of this cooler Florida weather (cooler = less than 80!!!!) and go for a walk. I went from my office in downtown Orlando down to city hall. It’s almost a mile there and back and it took me longer than normal since there is traffic and cross walks, but it was a nice 20 minute break outside.
I came back to the office to enjoy some Healthy Choice 150 calorie soup – Chicken with Rice. It was actually quite good. Through out the morning I enjoyed some POM tea (Pomegranate Lychee Green Tea). It has an interesting taste, but I enjoyed it. 140 calories for 16 ounces and it’s a nice change from water (which is all I seem to drink anymore).
Well, there is a piece of cake waiting for me. Must go take care of that….sorry, I have to! It was someone’s birthday!!
Where Does The Time Go?
The past month I have had a lot on my plate. It’s full and I am NOT hungry anymore!
Between taking pictures for Kernel Encore (which are not done) and editing them (which are not done as WELL) and spending all weekend at IZEAFest/SeaWorld, I have been one tired girl.
Tonight starts more craziness, Rock For Hunger VIP Party. Tomorrow, Rock For Hunger Fest concert. 5-12 (Hope you’re there!) Jeff and I will be there running around like crazy people getting video and pictures. Sunday equals sitting at home working on Kernel Encore pictures and RFH pics and vid.
THEN, Patrick from ChefPatrick.com wants to shoot a video, so within the next couple of weeks we’ll be doing that!
But wait, there’s more! October 24th I’ll be working on a shoot with my good friend, Pam. Woohoo!
So, all of this, plus: my house needs to be cleaned like whoa, the old fridge STILL needs to be moved to the garage, scanning in a crap ton of old pictures, digitize some old home movies so they don’t go bad.
Oh and did I mention.. I would like to take a vacation sometime! Maybe next year?
Cure For The Run
SomaCow Media and Rock For Hunger teamed up to put on an amazing event. A 0.05k. 164 feet. No, I am not making this up. I honestly had to walk further to get to my car. Seriously!
Over $3,000 dollars was raised to help the homeless in Orlando, FL. Next year, let’s double it!
Here are some pictures from the glorious day. These are other pictures can be found on my flickr page.
What Just Happened?
I walked into David’s Bridal on Saturday and I wanted to run the other direction. Everyone is trying on dresses that just don’t look right on them, while their family stands there and lie to them about dresses looking beautiful on them. On pedestals, none the less. Too much for me.
It was my first time being in any kind of bridal shop and I don’t know how much times I’ll be able to go back. This visit was NOT for myself, but for a friend of mine that is getting married soon. She is on the hunt for bridesmaid dresses and since I was with them I figured I’d go and take some pictures..and so it begins!

Size Matters
The Vitale Brothers, along with lots of other artists, got a chance to present some of their work at Nova535 in St. Petersburg, FL. As the show name says “size matters”. These pieces of art were quite grand. One of them look up a LARGE portion of the wall. Although, no matter how big some of the work was, the star of the show was a piece done by the Vitale Brothers.
An excellent painting of the great Billy Mays, Jr.

And after talking to Arwen Saxon and Billy Mays III, we learned that Billy was going to be taking it home when the show ends. Which I think is the only place it belongs!
Here is some of the other art work that is up. These are just some of the pictures.

How We Celebrate!
The weekend before my birthday, Jeff and I met my parents in Palm Coast. My mom never gave us the address to where we were staying, just kept saying “either a Microtel or someplace like that”. We drove there, called for directions and we pulled into this place that had restaurants and shops. After walking in and being told to “Hurry up!” by my parents, because “a maid let us look at a room for a few minutes, so we need to be quick.” I started to think to myself, “What in the world is going on and WHERE is the toilet?!”
Walked into the room and saw lots of streamers and a balloon! We were fooled! My parents had rented this nice condo for the weekend, with these wonderful beds, a flat screen tv and a kitchen!

After it sank in, I started realizing that I was sweating like crazy. Why? Because the air conditioner wasn’t working!
Two hours, a few phone calls to the owner and a walk around the area, the a/c guy finally came out to tell us that there was nothing he could do until MONDAY! (Remember..this was Friday!) Mom confirmed with the owners that we were going to get everything cleaned up and looking exactly how it was and that we would be staying else where. So we then got a room and went to dinner at a wonderful place in Palm Coast called Bourbon Street Bar and Grille.
Saturday rolls around and we head to St. Augustine for the day. On the way there we passed through the intersection where our accident took place five and a half years ago. I had a little mental breakdown and then I was fine. I hadn’t seen where it happened since that night, so it was a little shocking and lots of memories came flooding back.
Mom, Dad, Jeff and I had a WONDERFUL lunch at the Spanish Bakery right off of St. George Street. It was THE reason I wanted to go into St. Augustine! That made my entire weekend and I’m already wanting to go back and enjoy more lovely food from there.
Saturday night, Mom and I did some shopping and then we all went out to dinner.. Dad however realized that he had left his credit card somewhere. THANKFULLY it was traced back to the restaurant we ate at on Friday and they still had it.
Sunday we went out for breakfast, after we found Dad’s keys (which he left sitting in the hotel room when we checked out!), plus we then spent 20 minutes looking for the Denny’s that was RIGHT across the street from the hotel! After breakfast/lunch, we went to the beach to get some pictures!
No less than craziness happens when my family goes some place. And the weekend before my birthday was no let down! That weekend made me realize all over again how much I love my parents and how thankful I am to have them and spend time with them. (The craziness is just an added bonus!)
Thanks Mom and Dad!! (aka Whodi and Father Unit!!)
Soar Into Savings This Summer With SeaWorld
There isn’t any other theme park in the state of Florida that has a roller coaster as exciting as the theme park itself.

SeaWorld is in the theme park capital of the world, Orlando, Florida. This summer they opened their newest roller coaster, Manta! You become a manta and literally fly laying face down over SeaWorld. I got the chance to ride Manta and let me tell you — you MUST go to SeaWorld and ride this ride, NOW! Plus, they have many other rides, including Kraken, another exciting coaster. And LOTS of animals. Not to mention.. SHAMU! Oh and my personal favorite, Clyde and Seymour.

SeaWorld is such a short drive from anywhere in Florida (and also Georgia and Alabama), you can drive to Orlando for the weekend, enjoy a lovely day at SeaWorld doing Manta over and over again and then the very next day go right across the street to Aquatica or to Tampa to visit Busch Gardens — for free! Yep, SeaWorld has such a great deal right now – you buy one day at SeaWorld and you get another day at Aquatica or Busch Gardens, on them! I’ve NEVER seen another theme park have this great of an offer. And I bet, no other park ever will.
